Montreal’s highly acclaimed performing artist Miss Diva has earned a Reggae North Award nomination for her single “Energy Bumpa.” The single, released in 2026, competes in the Fusion/Dancehall category.
Sharing the story of a man being attracted to a woman’s movement to music during a fete, Diva puts the chronology of events into sonic bliss. Fusing Soca and Dancehall, the infectious, uptempo track has female listeners participating and creating their own visuals.
Speaking to fans online, Miss Diva said, “I am truly humbled and blessed to have been nominated for a Reggae North Music Award! I give thanks to Jah for blessing me with the talent and inspiration to create music. A heartfelt thank you for this incredible recognition. Being nominated alongside so many talented artists is truly an honor.”
“Energy Bumpa” was produced by ICU Studio and Miss Diva Music. Written by Dr Rad for ICU Studio, the song is the title track (track 4) from the EP ‘Meet Me on the Road.’ The EP is Miss Diva’s first body of work, comprised of all Soca tracks. Since its release, she has performed the EP’s tracks in Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica with fans’ endorsement.

On July 25th, Miss Diva will co-headline the first annual Ready for Love Festival in Montreal (Maison Des Jeunes – Chateaguay). Her single of the same name features reggae star Turbulence, who will also be performing.
August 15th, she co-headlines the 12th annual Edmonton Reggae Festival at the William Hawrelak Park (www.edmontonreggaefestivalsoc
