Family Altar Ministries Celebrates First Lady’s Birthday with Spirit-Filled Service
Family Altar Ministries came alive with praise and worship on Sunday, May 18, as the congregation gathered to honor the birthday of their beloved First Lady, Joyce Mamle Bennisan which was on Friday, May 16, 2025.
The celebration was marked with a powerful and joyous service at the church’s East Legon auditorium. The atmosphere was one of thanksgiving and reverence, filled with vibrant music, heartfelt tributes, and testimonies that highlighted the impact of Lady Joyce’s ministry. Described by many as “a mother, mentor, and spiritual pillar,” Lady Joyce has been a great source of encouragement, especially in empowering women and guiding young people in their walk with Christ.
The service featured uplifting ministrations from the Family Altar choir and guest worship minister Naa Mercy Sinclear. Members and well-wishers poured out words of appreciation, expressing gratitude for Lady Joyce’s unwavering support of the ministry and her compassionate leadership.
A touching moment came during the sermon, delivered by Rev. Mellissa Ennin-Anagbo, who also shares a birthday with Lady Joyce. She spoke of Lady Joyce as a woman divinely prepared for her husband, Prophet Moses Bennisan, and praised her grace, wisdom, and spiritual strength. “She is more than a First Lady. She is a spiritual leader in her own right—one who carries grace, wisdom, and compassion. We thank God for her life,” Rev. Mellissa said.
Moved by the outpouring of love, Lady Joyce expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the church and everyone who was present at the service. The celebration concluded with prayers of blessing over the First Lady, the cutting of a birthday cake, and a spirited praise session led by the celebrant herself. Family Altar Ministries continues to uphold its mission of “building happy families” and remains a beacon of faith and transformation in Ghana.
